Italy is now the 21st Full Member of EGU – Aeroclub d´Italy joined to EGU on 22nd February 2021 which was confirmed by the EGU Congress 2021 held 27th February 2021. There were 19 Full Members and and Associate Member the VGC present at the virtual meeting welcoming Italian gliding community back to European Gliding Union.

EGU Congress 2021 will be a virtual one!

28th Annual General Meeting of EGU will be held on 27th February 2021 by teleconferencing.

EGU Congress 2020

EGU Congress 2020 took place at Hotel DGI-Byen, Copenhagen 22.2.2020, hosted by Danish Soaring Federation DSvU. There were 18 out of 20 EGU member countries represented.

After several years effort by a number of dedicated volunteers, and with theconstant support of EGU Members, we are delighted to tell you that the EASACommittee of the European Commission today approved the new regulationson Sailplane Flight Crew Licensing.

Lecture on Austrian Gliding Day at 19th of October

President Naegeli visited the well organized Austrian Gliding Day on Sat 19th of October to report about the current situation regarding EASA SFCL. He informed about 250 persons about the essence and work of EGU.
